Taking Your Measurements

When having your measurements taken, try to stand as relaxed and comfortable as possible - as you normally would. All measurements should be taken to the nearest quarter (.25) inch.

Measurements are taken against your body.

Neck Around

Measure around the neck at the height where the collar would normally rest.

Chest Around

Measure around the fullest part of your chest.

Stomach Around

Measure around your stomach, where your belly button is.

Waist

Measure around your waist, where your belt usually sits.

Wrist Around

Measure around your wrist around the wrist bone. Hold the tape measure tight to your skin, but do not squeeze your wrist.

Shoulder Width

Measure from one shoulder edge to the other. Be sure to follow the curve of the shoulder when measuring.

Sleeve / Bicep Around

Measure around your arm, the fullest part of your bicep area.

Hips Around

Measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks.

Sleeve Length

From your shoulder to where you want the sleeve to end. Can be short, quarter or long sleeve.

Length

Start at the center of the shoulder and measure straight down to the point till where you want your top.

For Etibos: For a traditional look, measure slightly below your crotch. For a more modern look, measure to your mid crotch. For Senators: Regular length Senators typically end slightly below your crotch. Long Senator end around the knees.

Neck Around

Measure around the neck at the height where the collar would normally rest.

Measure around your arm, the fullest part of your bicep area.

Measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks.

Sleeve Length

From your shoulder to where you want the sleeve to end. Can be short, quarter or long sleeve.

Length

Start at the center of the shoulder and measure straight down to the point till where you want your top. While taking this measurement make sure that the tape passes over the center of the bust.

Overbust

Measure around your chest just above the swell of your breast.

Bust

Measure around the fullest part of your bust.

Underbust

Measure around your chest just below the swell of your breast. Make certain the measuring tape is snug, but not constricting.

Neckline to Top of Chest

Measure from your neck line to the top of your overbust, in-line with where your armpit begins.

Neckline to Bust

Measure from your neckline to the fullest part of your bust.

Shoulder to Stomach

Measure from your shoulder to your stomach.

Shoulder to Waist

Measure from your shoulder to your waist.

Stomach to Waist

Measure from your stomach to your waist.

Waist to Knee

Measure from your waist to your knee.



Pants/Trousers

Measurements are taken against a pair of your favorite fitting pants.

Waist

Measure exactly from one end of the waist side seam to the other end.

Hips

Go up .5 an in towards the waist from the fly line point. Perpendicular to that measure exactly from one side end to the other end. If the pants have pleats then measure with the pleats closed and not stretched.

Front Rise

Start from the crotch point and go up till the waist.

Back Rise

Start from the crotch point and go up till the waist.

Thigh

Go down about 2 inches from the crotch point then perpendicular to it, measure exactly from one side to the other side.

Knee

Measure the knee width exactly from one side end to the other.

Cuff/Ankle

Take the measurement exactly from one side end to the other.

Trouser Inseam

Take the measurement of the inseam starting from the crotch point to the bottom.

Trouser Outseam

Take the measurement of the side-seam starting from the waist to the bottom.
